The Episodes

■ Space for small local businesses, food and beverage outlets, and leisure and workspaces.

■ An arrival space that opens up the whole site to pedestrians and cyclists.

■ A new green public route which we are calling ‘the Lewisham Loop’: repurposing the car park ramp to create ground floor and first floor public spaces.

■ A multi-use public and play space which will include biodiverse planting.

■ An upper-level food area with restaurants, bars and other leisure activities which will create a new night-time economy in Lewisham.

■ Consists of a series of open-air shopping streets which open out into larger public spaces with seating.

■ Provides seamless new access for pedestrians and cyclists between the High Street, the market, and Molesworth Street.

■ Provides space for new types of shops to extend the High Street.

■ Offers a range of flexible shop units to attract different kinds of retailers.

■ Features a new substantial public space with extensive planting throughout.

■ A range of housing will be provided across the three episodes, with the majority focused on Episode 2.

■ A mixture of retail, health and wellbeing, and convenience services.

■ A second green open space (as in Episode 1) which could feature cultural and community spaces and provide quiet space.

■ Additional pedestrian and cycling routes connecting the High Street and market to Molesworth Street and Ravensbourne River.
